The prevalence rate of awake Bruxism and sleep Bruxism is about 20 and 8–16% respectively in adult populations and is continuing to grow. Awake Bruxism is found to occur predominantly among females while no such gender difference is seen for sleep Bruxism.
The disorder is appearing more frequently in the younger population with a prevalence between 14 to 20%. The need to be able to correctly diagnose, treat and select cases for referral has never been more relevant to general practice.
This program is presented by world-renowned Oral Medicine expert, Assoc. Professor Michael Stubbs, who outlines the most up-to-date concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of Bruxism.
